In the Digital Kitchen of Saxon research data initiative SaxFDM Thomas Hartmann presented current legal fields of activity in research data management on February 18, 2021. Contributions in the ensuing discussion were, among other things, related to opportunities and hurdles when decentralized FDM units establish legal support services. Description of the event: The recipe book for the legal handling of research data has yet to be written! What should we pay attention to in the process? For a delicious meal, old recipes from copyright law, data protection law, or labor law, for example, are only of limited nutritional value. In addition, the cooks participating in FDM bring different recipe ideas. Besides §§§ (Caution: sometimes bitter and with a long shelf life!), FAIR herbs should become indispensable items in the spice rack. Well, who would like to join us in cooking?
